About Carmeta’s

The Barbados Agricultural Development and Marketing Corporation is a statutory organization with a mandate to promote local agricultural and to empower agricultural entrepreneurs. Hence, the Carmeta’s Retail shop was established, promoting locally produced products of farmers and local manufacturers.

The formulation of our products were created and perfected right here in Barbados by great Barbadians, who, over the years have contributed significantly to the agricultural sector.
One such person is the late Sen. Carmeta Fraser, JP, whose popular slogan “Food comes first” was the launchpad from which the Carmeta’s brand was developed.

We feature agro-processed products such as meats, 100% gluten free flours, pancake mixes as well as locally produced foods, beverages, condiments.

Carmeta’s opened its doors in January, 2013, and its great customer service and excellent taste of our products keep our customers coming back for more, every time.
